Strange Fatalities Book Launch

at Dundurn Castle National Historic Site
610 York Boulevard, Hamilton, Ontario

The launch of Strange Fatality was a rousing success with an overflow crowd of nearly 200 jamming the Coach House at Dundurn Castle on the evening of 28 May. Re-enactors portraying the 16th US Infantry and the Royal Newfoundland Fencibles provided a period backdrop for the proceedings, Hamilton councilor and CHML radio personality Bob Bratina handled the introduction and author James Elliott spoke of his determination to animate and honour the rank and file of both sides who fell in the battle before reading a chapter from Strange Fatality and signing copies of the book.
